Eighty Three
This is my eighty-third blog post since I started blogging every day.
83 isn’t any significant number. It was the year before the year I was born. I was born in 84, oh so long ago.
I’m just reflecting on this day about keeping a daily blog going, and it happened to fall on the eighty-third day of posting every day.
WordPress reminded me on the Jetpack’s notifications system.
But I want to reflect a little bit.
Why did I start a daily blog?
You might think I started it for financial benefits.
No.
You might wonder if I did it for the vanity metric of being a daily blogger.
No.
You might wonder if I did it for popularity and fame.
No, not that, either.
I did it because I wanted to challenge myself. I did it because I wanted to improve my skill as a writer. I did it to prove to myself that I could do it.
I did it because it made me feel good. It makes me feel accomplished. It makes me believe in myself.
I believed in myself beforehand. But now I really believe in myself.
And the funny thing about it is that I’ve blogged every day for 83 days on not one but two blogs.
And I am also a freelance writer, too. I’m a social media creator. I’m a videographer. And I work full-time.
And do sleep…a little bit.
I considered stopping at 100 posts and doing two or three a week.
But then I think about the Legend, the Goat, Seth Godin. He’s blogged every day since 2005.
If there is a good lesson to take from him for self-development, I’d say blog every day.
So, I’m going to keep going.
Whether anyone is reading or not, I will keep blogging every day and enjoy it.
