How to Create an Easy Social Media Marketing Strategy for Free

Do you want to know how to create an easy social media marketing strategy for free? You should be asking me what kind of question that is – of course, you want a free and easy strategy.

But you probably have doubts about an easy and free strategy. The evolution of AI and all the competition online make anything easy and free seem impossible.

What’s the catch, you wonder?

You can create an easy social media marketing strategy. It’s not impossible. You can also do it at no cost. That isn’t impossible, either. You need an internet connection and a smartphone – that’s your only cost.

You must focus on three pillars for this easy and free strategy to work.

  • Content
  • Engagement
  • Community

With this guide, I will show you how each of these three pillars can be implemented into your easy social media marketing strategy at no cost.

Easy Social Media Marketing Strategy Pillar 1: Content

Content is the number one pillar of your easy social media marketing strategy because it powers the rest of the pillars and your strategy as a whole.

But it takes a certain kind of content.

There is a whole lot of BS going around on social media these days about how quantity matters more than quality. It’s BS, pure BS. Quantity is good. But Quality will also trump quantity. You can post 10 times daily, but if your content isn’t that good, no one will subscribe to what you have to say.

People are looking for answers. They want solutions. They want attention. If you don’t provide that, someone else will, and you’ll lose.

So, instead of focusing entirely on the number of content pieces you post on a platform, focus on consistently posting the best content possible.

Consistently means choosing a comfortable amount of time to post content and then sticking with it. That’s the true success of content quantity.

To make it an easy social media marketing strategy, you should focus on content topics that are easy to think of. What are the top unanswered questions in your niche or industry? What problems lack the best solutions? What gaps are present? Answer these questions as easily as you can and put them in the form of social content.

Do that, and you win at the content pillar.

Easy Social Media Marketing Strategy Pillar 2: Engagement

The second pillar of an easy social media marketing strategy is engagement. Engagement is free, but it requires you to work like with content creation.

You can create social media content and then use tools (even for free) like Buffer and others to schedule content to post. This allows you to automate some of your strategies so that you can focus more effort on engagement which is important for social growth.

Engagement isn’t what it seems to everyone, however.

You should be engaging with two groups, your social followers and your potential social followers.

Comment, reply, like, share, and develop relationships with those already following and engaging with you. Do this daily. Make it a habit. And actually, mean it.

And then on to your potential followers. Find them on the social platform, whether it’s individuals you spot or target bigger companies and influencer accounts where they are. Engage with them and do it as much as you can. You want to become a familiar face.

But, like with your content, it becomes an easy social media marketing strategy in terms of the engagement pillar when you’re being as helpful and friendly as possible during the engagement. But you should also show authority and expertise around your niche and industry while engaging with people.

You need to be confident when focusing on the engagement pillar.

Easy Social Media Marketing Strategy Pillar 3: Community

The community pillar is a new but existing function of your easy social media marketing strategy that requires more attention today than ever.

One word, well, two words: Artificial Intelligence!

AI is evolving. Get on Twitter; it’s every other post. Some of the people I follow post nothing but AI content. AI is no longer the future; it’s the present. And you really need to consider what AI will do to the internet as a whole in the long run.

It will change the internet to a point where it might hurt many social creators who are not as good at using AI as others are using it.

So, what does a creator do at that point? AI is evolving so rapidly that it’s overwhelming, right?

It doesn’t have to be overwhelming or scary.

All you need to do is build a community. Really – a community is how you stay ahead of AI. That’s because AI and algorithms can’t dictate human thoughts and memory at this time. So, if you’ve developed a community of loyal organic ambassadors, they’ll repeatedly return because they’re part of a community that means something to them.

But how do you develop a community?

Think about a community you’re a part of offline. How did you become a part of it? What made you want to be a part of it? Answer those questions, and you will have a running head start at community development.

It will always be about relationship development and putting your people on the front lines of your brand or business decision-making.

You need to create a community of loyal followers on social media.

That’s all there is to it. That’s all it takes to create an easy social media marketing strategy. Easy is the keyword because it’s that easy. And free is the other keyword because, as you read, there is no cost for those pillars. You need to make new habits, which is easy to do. Focus your strategy and techniques on those three pillars every time you get on social media. For even more great tips like these, follow me on Twitter.
