for Your Website
(2022 Edition)
If you’re reading this, you’re likely already looking for easy niche marketing strategies.
Listen, I get it. It’s hard to market a niche-specific website because your target audience is so slimmed down compared to a general audience website.
The good thing about all this, though, is there are plenty of easy ways to go about marketing your niche site without breaking the bank to breaking your brain trying to come up with new ideas.
Once you start seeing these easy niche marketing strategies listed below, you’ll totally get it, and it’ll become a simple task for you to get more traffic to your websites. Trust me; it’s what I do!
So, let’s jump right into it!
Easy Niche Marketing Strategies #1: Event Sponsoring
Find your biggest fans and sponsor their stuff!
Events. Charities. Offline events. Whatever they’re doing, and you could applicably sponsor it, go for it.
Doing this will give you a mega-reputation in your niche market, and the fans that notice it, including those you’re sponsoring, will fall in love with your brand or business.
P.s. Don’t just stick to events that are large and well known. Help the smaller ones, too. It’ll mean a lot to your fans, and you might tap into something that gets bigger and bigger in time.
Niche Marketing Strategy #2: Know Your Niche
To effectively market to a niche, you need to know everything about that niche.
REALLY! You need to know it inside and out.
You need to know who the niche is. What they like. What they dislike. Where they go. Where they avoid going and why. What they buy. What they will not buy. What companies do they trust the most? Who don’t they trust, and why? Anything and everything about the niche is information you should master.
The more you know about the community you’re trying to market to, the more easy niche marketing strategies will be.
Niche Marketing Strategy #3: Niche Communities
Find out where your niche is engaging with others in the niche.
There are online communities everywhere where your niche may be. A majority of them may be on social media. Pages, Groups, Twitter Chats, communities, etc. Find these communities and join them. Start being active. Be engaging. Be friendly. Help others with problems that they cannot solve.
Social media isn’t the only community out there, though. Your niche might also be on blogs, discussion forums, discord servers, Reddit, and other communities. Join them all and make your presence known.
The more people you connect with, the easier it will be to promote your niche brand or business.
Niche Marketing Strategy #4: Become an Authority
Are you an expert in your niche? You should be.
Sometimes, it feels awkward to identify yourself as an expert in your niche. It almost feels as if you’re giving yourself a big head. But you should be doing just that. The only way we can truly succeed in niche-based brands or businesses is to become experts.
So yes, you need to be an expert in your niche! You can do this by developing your authority. Authority development doesn’t stop at you learning something new as much as possible (I try to learn something new every day), but you also need to solve problems in your market.
And if you solve the most significant problems and do so that is easy for your niche to understand, you’ll be considered an expert in no time.
Easy Niche Marketing Strategies #5: Build a Brand
The internet is a brand internet when it comes to business. Brands win. Non-brands lose.
It would help build a brand around your business or your name or some other name. All social media pages, websites, blogs, and even print materials should reflect your brand’s name. Keep it consistent, keep the same photo and colors, and keep the same tone in each area you speak or write in.
An example of this is this website. Shawn Gossman, my name, is the brand, and all my social media pages that use my name are used to post about the niche. Another example is my Hiking with Shawn brand. Everything relating to that brand uses the Hiking with Shawn name, the same avatar photo, and the same tone.
Brands get you noticed and remembered easily.
Niche Marketing Strategy #6: Be Consistently Active
Out of all the easy niche marketing strategies, being consistently active is probably one of the most important tactics.
It would help if you were active in your niche both in the community and in your own spaces. People need to see you out there making noise or your marketing folks if you have your own. They need to see you in the communities and your assets. But not just here one day and there another. It would help if you were consistent about being active.
Consistently be active in the communities of your niche market. That will get you noticed. That will bring new followers to your website. It would help if you were consistent in your communities, such as blogging and social media. You really can’t afford to take breaks here and there and then expect to come back with everyone waiting for you. It doesn’t work that way, and it never will.
To build a niche audience, you’ll have to be active and consistent about it, or it will not be successful.
Niche Marketing Strategy #7: Know Your Competition
Anything and everything about your competition is something you should know about.
Fully (not partially) knowing and understanding who your competition is, is a crucial step in niche marketing strategy. Your competition might be doing it better than you. But they might have gaps or weaknesses that you can take advantage of to get the upper hand. You’ll always be fighting against competition and working to be better – that is a part of the business that has always been present and will always be present.
But you do understand all aspects of your competition. That might even mean buying and using their services or products so that you can become an expert at what they do and offer. This will help you in the long run with your Return on Investment. The more you understand your competition, the more easy niche marketing strategies you’ll pick up.
Knowing your niche is the first step to knowing who your niche competition is.
Niche Marketing Strategy #8: Give Almost Everything Away
I’m a big fan of Gary Vaynerchuk’s ideology of giving everything away for free.
Of course, you have to sustain some profit to survive, right? So, you’re not giving everything away, but you need to make it seem like you are. Please don’t get too confused here; it is an easy solution. Content. That is what you should give away. Write, video, speak, whatever way you feel is best for you to reach the niche audience – give away content as much as you can about your brand or business services and products.
For my Hiking with Shawn brand, I give away all content I create videos, trail guides, photos, blog posts, etc. I sell guided hiking services, trip itineraries, detailed PDF trail guides, and a few other things. But I base all those products on the content I give away for free because it has created my reputation.
Give away 90% and ask for payment on 10%, and you’ll notice an increase in audience development and a positive ROI.
Niche Marketing Strategy #9: Befriend Your Niche Audience
Try to befriend everyone in your niche.
Don’t just stop at those following you, either. Of course, you should befriend those following you and develop long-lasting relationships to retain them as your audience. But it would help if you were befriending those who are not following you. Those are your potential new followers, and the best way to convert something into a new follower is to befriend them.
It is easy to befriend people. Find them first. Social media is great for that need. Then start socializing with them. Talk to them like you would, your best friend. Be honest with them but remain as friendly as possible with them. Help solve their problems for bonus points. Be the go-to guy for your new friends.
And in the end, you can ask for a return of favor from them to check out your website.
Easy Niche Marketing Strategies #10: Stay Modern
You have to stay modern about marketing to use easy niche marketing strategies.
I mean staying modern by staying up to date on what your niche is actively doing. This might be activity on specific social networks and specific features of those social networks. Maybe it’s the new and mysterious Web 3.0 and NFT stuff. Find out what modern trends and technologies are actively used and make sure you’re in on them.
Chances are, you’re not going to change an entire niche trend! At least not overnight. So, it would help if you focused on the areas where the trend is occurring. You might have to get out of your comfort zone for this one, but it’ll pay off.
Staying modern is staying on top of the niche game.
And there you have it – 10 easy niche marketing strategies that anyone can handle. Including you! So, get out there in that brave world and put these tactics to the test.
