As I mentioned above, a case study is backed by data and evidence. You want to make sure you keep opinion and bias out of a case study or at least make it clear when you use it in a particular section of the article.
A case study post needs to be thorough, so it is usually very long. I wouldn’t think it should be under 2,000 to 5,000 words at minimum.
Use a lot of examples and references in a case study. Examples can help show experiments and why the theory of the study is correct. Use references as external and internal links placed into the content like you would with any other blog format.
